    Alok Joshi was chief of Research and Analysis Wing, the external intelligence agency of India. Hailing from Lucknow, he graduated from Jawaharlal Nehru University, (JNU), completed his postgraduation in political science and then joined the Indian Police Service (IPS), Haryana cadre in 1976. He rose through his ranks and later in 2005 became the joint director of Intelligence Bureau, the internal intelligence agency of India. In 2010 he was appointed as a Special Secretary at R&AW. He took over as Secretary (R) on 30 December 2012. Joshi and Amitabh Mathur of 1977 batch of Manipur and Tripura, IPS cadre were the main contendants for the top spot. Mathur had joined R&AW in 1981 and switched from IPS to RAS cadre. However the Prime Minister-headed Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (India) chose Joshi over Mathur because of his seniority. After retirement, Shri. Alok Joshi was brought in as Senior Advisor to the National Technical Research Organisation and currently appointed as its Chairman.

    S.D. Shibulal (Shibu) along with N.R. Narayana Murthy and five others, founded Infosys in 1981. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Infosys from 2011 – 2014. Prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Shibu served as Chief Operating Officer from 2007 - 2011. Shibu is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Emerging Multinationals and the Co-chair of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) National Committee on IT, ITES and e-Commerce. He is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Information and Communication Technology Academy of Kerala and a member of the Board of Trustees of Boston University. He is also a member of the Metropolitan College Dean’s Advisory Board of Boston University. Shibu is a member of the Seoul International Business Advisory Council (SIBAC), The Leaders Council of the International Business Leaders Forum and the Global Corporate Governance Forum’s Private Sector Advisory Group. Shibu holds a master’s degree in computer science from Boston University, US, and a master’s degree in physics from the University of Kerala, India.

    Ms. Pang is a Criminology Consultant. Ms. Pang moved to Canada from the United Kingdom after receiving her B.A. Hons. in Developmental Psychology with Cognitive Studies, which included Artificial Intelligence programming. After completing her M.A. Degree in Criminology in Vancouver, Ms. Pang worked in various fields of Criminology, including the British Columbia Forensics Psychiatric Commission, and the National Headquarters of Correctional Services Canada in Ottawa. Ms. Pang was commissioned by the B.C. Forensic Psychiatric Commission to develop the first comprehensive, “Standards and Guidelines for the Assessment, Treatment and Management of Sex Offenders in British Columbia”. Ms. Pang also has extensive experience in statistical research and policy development, including in the areas of sex offenders, serious offenders, youth gangs, community policing, domestic violence, equity employment, and community outreach. Ms. Pang is one of the founders of The Society For The Policing Of Cyberspace (POLCYB). Based in Vancouver, Canada, POLCYB is an international society devoted to enhancing international collaboration and private-public partnerships to combat cybercrime. In addition to other consultation projects, Ms. Pang is also the Executive Director of POLCYB. Ms. Pang was awarded the prestigious Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013. The medal was presented to Ms. Pang in recognition of her significant achievements and continuous contributions to the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) mandate of “leading progressive change in policing”.

Mr. Lee has more than 25 years of experience in the Security and Technopreneur environment, involved in the setup and commissioning of technology-based organizations in the area of training, e-learning, strategic business development and cyber security. Graduated with a Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Microelectronics from the University College of Tunku Abdul Rahman, Kuala Lumpur and Campbell University, North Carolina USA. He obtained a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Malaysia Multimedia University. He is a lead auditor for ISO/IEC 27001, an associates of Business Continuity Professional and a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). He was awarded as an Honoree for Asia-Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements (ISLA) in the category of Managerial Professional for Information Security Project(s) on July 26 2012 in Tokyo, Japan and the recipient of “One of the Most Outstanding Chief Security Officers (CSO) in the ASEAN region 2012” by the CSO ASEAN Awards 2012 organized by IDG. In the area of Cyber Security, he established the national cyber security capacity building portal for Malaysia – the Cyberguru.my and the lead architect for the national cyber security professional certification scheme known as the Global Accredited Cybersecurity Education (ACE) Scheme. Currently, the Scheme is being deployed in OIC member countries to attain mutual recognition in the area of cyber security workforce, cyber security professionals, trainers, professional training programs and cyber security professional examinations. Mr. Velez retired from the US Federal Bureau Of Investigation (FBI) in 2001 after having spent 21 years in various investigative positions in the United States, Thailand, India and Pakistan. He has broad experience in investigations ranging from Terrorism to Drug Trafficking and has conducted training of police and other government officials throughout Asia and the United States. Since retirement from the FBI, Mr. Velez also worked as the Senior Investigator for Microsoft Corporation, Law and Corporate Affairs, responsible for IPR investigations in South Asia Pacific.

She joined the Swedish Police Authority in 2005 after graduating from Uppsala University in Sweden with a Degree in Master of Laws. Cecilia has investigated numerous child sexual abuse cases, interviewing offenders and victims and analysing material.     Mr. Sawkar was born in Bangalore, India. He received a Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona in 2000, and a Bachelors of Arts with Honors in English Literature and Philosophy from Boston University in 1995. Prior to working for the FBI, Mr. Sawkar was an Assistant State’s Attorney for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Sawkar entered on duty as a Special Agent (SA) of the FBI on April 20, 2003. From 2003 through 2013, SA Sawkar was assigned to the Los Angeles Division, Long Beach Resident Agency, where he worked Counterterrorism and White Collar matters. SA Sawkar also had collateral responsibilities as an undercover certified employee (UCE) and as a Firearms Instructor (FI). In 2012, SA Sawkar served as the Acting Supervisor of the Long Beach Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) for one year. As a field agent, SA Sawkar specialized in HUMINT operations both domestic and international. SA Sawkar utilized these experiences while deployed to Iraq in 2008 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. From 2013 through 2015, SSA Sawkar served as an Assistant Legal Attaché in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During that time, SSA Sawkar also opened the Legat sub-office in Kuwait City, Kuwait. Born in London in 1956, Dr. Tharoor was educated in India and the United States, completing a PhD in 1978 at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at the Tufts University. While there, he received the Robert B. Stewart Prize for Best Student and also helped found and served as the first Editor of the Fletcher Forum of International Affairs, a journal now in its 39th year. Dr. Tharoor was also awarded an honorary D.Litt by the University of Puget Sound and a Doctorate Honoris Causa in History by the University of Bucharest. In 1998 the World Economic Forum in Davos named him a “Global Leader of Tomorrow”. He is also a recipient of several awards that include a Commonwealth Writers’ Prize and the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman, India’s highest honour for overseas nationals. In 2012 the King of Spain awarded him the Encomienda de la Real Order Espanola de Carlos III.     Vice Admiral Surinder Pal Singh Cheema PVSM, AVSM, NM assumed command of Southern Naval Command as its Commander in-Chief at an impressive ceremonial parade held at INS Garuda on 19 Jun 14. The Flag Officer prior to assuming the command laid wreath at the War Memorial to offer remembrances to thousands of martyrs who had fought for the country. The Admiral was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 01 Jan 1977. He is a graduate of the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasala, The Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington and the College of Naval Warfare (CNW), Mumbai. A specialist in Missile and Gunnery, he spent majority of his time on afloat and operational appointments. He has had the distinction of being the Commanding Officer of five frontline ships, namely, the missile boat INS Nishank, Mauritian Coast Guard OPV Vigilant, the missile corvette INS Khanjar, the stealth frigate INS Trishul and the prestigious Aircraft carrier INS Viraat. His appointments ashore include the Commandant of the Naval Academy and Commanding Officer INS Mandovi. He also has the unique distinction of winning both the Lentaigne (Best Dissertation) and Scudder Medals (First in overall order of merit) while undergoing course at DSSC. On promotion to the Flag rank in May 2006, he was appointed ACNS, Information Warfare and Operations (IW & Ops) at IHQ, MoD (Navy). His other flag appointments include the Chief of Staff, Western Naval Command, Flag Officer Commanding Western Fleet, Controller Personnel Services, IHQ MoD (Navy), DCIDS Perspective Planning and Force Development (PP&FD) and DCIDS (DOT). His appointment as the Flag Officer Commanding in Chief, Southern Naval Command is a unique distinction being his third Command as a Commander-in-Chief since being promoted to C-in-C grade on 31 Aug 12. Prior to this he has been the Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (CISC) to the Chairman, Chiefs of Staff Committee as also the Commander-in-Chief of the Strategic Forces Command - a Tri-Services Command responsible for all nuclear forces of the country.     Bessie Pang Ms. Pang is a Criminology Consultant. Ms. Pang moved to Canada from the United Kingdom after receiving her B.A. Hons. in Developmental Psychology with Cognitive Studies, which included Artificial Intelligence programming. After completing her M.A. Degree in Criminology in Vancouver, Ms. Pang worked in various fields of Criminology, including the British Columbia Forensics Psychiatric Commission, and the National Headquarters of Correctional Services Canada in Ottawa. Ms. Pang was commissioned by the B.C. Forensic Psychiatric Commission to develop the first comprehensive, “Standards and Guidelines for the Assessment, Treatment and Management of Sex Offenders in British Columbia”. Ms. Pang also has extensive experience in statistical research and policy development, including in the areas of sex offenders, serious offenders, youth gangs and youth violence, female offenders, community policing, domestic violence, equity employment, offender reintegration, and community outreach. Ms. Pang is one of the founders of The Society For The Policing Of Cyberspace (POLCYB). Based in Vancouver, Canada, POLCYB is an international society devoted to enhancing international collaboration and private-public partnerships to combat cybercrime. In addition to other consultation projects, Ms. Pang is also the Executive Director of POLCYB. Ms. Pang was awarded the prestigious Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2013. Mr. Koh started his career with the Singapore Police Force (SPF) after graduating under an SPF scholarship. During his years of service in SPF, he received various awards including the Commissioner's Commendation and High Commendation, Good Service Medal, Long Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. After leaving SPF and before joining Sun, Mr. Koh was in the systems integration business for a few years and was involved in various large government infrastructure and applications projects including government-wide networking and messaging projects and Singapore government projects. Mr. Koh graduated from the National University of Singapore with an Upper Second-Class Honors degree in Mathematics. He obtained his MBA with Distinction from the University of Leeds (UK) and a Specialist Diploma in e-commerce from the Nanyang Polytechnic (Singapore).
